Building Materials Production Facilities

Mallory & Evans has taken part in the construction of many types of manufacturing facilities for building materials. From production of injection molded building components to manufacturing of high quality roofing and insulation products, our commitment to quality and attention to detail allows us to consistently achieve stringent specifications on time and within budget.

As a specialist in technically demanding projects, we have designed and/or constructed every Certainteed roofing plant built in the U.S. since 1972.

Projects have included a “green field” felt mill with full papermaking capabilities, a fiberglass mat factory to produce glass mat for roofing products, three asphalt still yards to produce raw asphalt flux into roofing grade asphalt, and four plants to convert organic felts and glass mat to roll roofing and mineral surface asphalt shingles. All projects were handled on a “fast track” basis, and all were completed on time and within budget. These facilities were recognized as the most technologically advanced of their kind in the world.
